Purpose
The membership of Cascade River Park has the right to expect fellow members to act responsibly while in attendance in the Park, using Park facilities, and attending Park functions. Members must also realize they are responsible for the actions of their guests & contractors.
Examples:
- Connecting to the community water supply boxes, when done without the approval of the Caretaker or through negligence. The member or their contractor shall contact the Caretaker to get his approval and any recommendations they may make. Damage that results due to failure to contact the Caretaker concerning this installation, will be billed to the member.
- Correcting road damage that is a direct result of actions by a lot owner or the guest of the lot owner may be billed to the lot owner.
- Damage that is a direct result of a logging operation will be billed to the lot owner [see policy 4410]
- Problems with pets [see policy 4451]
- Cost to repair or replace damaged CRCC buildings, bridges, all parts of the water system, fences, gates, locks, fire hydrants, culverts and Park equipment will be billed to lot owners, if there is sufficient evidence to determine who is responsible.
The Board of Directors will make the determination of responsibility.
Club members wishing to bring guests with extra vehicles, shall either park these vehicles on their own property or make prior arrangements with other members to park the extra vehicles. Vehicles should not be parked in park right-of-way areas.
Consequences
Damages resulting from members and/or guests misuse of the Park and its facilities shall be the direct financial responsibility of the CRCC member, whether the guest was invited or not. It is unfair to expect the membership as a whole to finance replacements and/or repairs irresponsibly caused by others.
