Now Hiring Temporary Part-Time Office Clerk

Cascade River Park is hiring Immediately for a Temporary Part-Time Office Clerk that can potentially lead to a permanent position. This position is approximately 20 hours a week starting at $23.00 an hour. We offer paid sick leave.

We are a private member only, off-grid gated community located in Marblemount, Washington. Our park is wooded, with the beautiful Cascade River running through it. Our members are owners of their property with some living full-time in the community. The park staff take care of the common areas in the park, maintaining roads, a water system, parks, bridges, and security. The office takes care of the records of the park, member needs, and purchases necessary to maintain the park along with supporting park projects and events for the community.

Job Requirements

The applicant must have a current Washington State Driver’s license, be able to work in the United States, and be a friendly approachable person that enjoys working with people. Ability to be insured and employees must be drug/alcohol free.

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Skills required:

  • Organized, efficient, and able to work on time.
  • Competent in computer technology such as email, spreadsheets, word processing, data entry, and familiar with Microsoft applications.
  • Answer phone calls and take messages.
  • Record meeting minutes.
  • File and maintain records.
  • Copy, fax, and scan documents.
  • Ability to Communicate in many forms to Community members, Management, Board of Directors, Caretakers, and Vendors.
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor.
  • Ordering of supplies and keeping records of purchases and invoices.
  • Inventory data entry.
  • Issue and management of keys.

DNR Visit Rescheduled

Due to the slushy conditions of Park roads, the visit of the DNR has been postponed in order to optimize their time with us.

Notes from the New Wildfire Mitigation Committee

This communication is to report to the Membership an announcement that was supposed to happen last Saturday before the monthly Board meeting was cancelled.

Following feedback received from the membership, a committee was formed to raise awareness about wildfire and as a hub for Park members to volunteer and help mitigate the risk in the Cascade River Park.

It’s 100% voluntary and you’re invited to email the Board or me directly if you’d like to join the party. We’d love to hear from you. All input will be taken into consideration.

PLEASE MARK THE DATE: On Thursday, January 25th starting 11AM, an agent from the Service Forestry Program of the DNR will be in the Park to assess the health of our forest and the risk of a wildfire. It’s purely advisory and the committee will use this free assessment to elaborate and suggest the next step to be taken.

It is the mission of the Cascade River Community Club Board of Directors along with park members to work in the best interest of the membership to facilitate a park community that provides Peace, Goodness, and Joy for all of the membership. The board will make decisions in a financially responsible way while considering the public safety and long-term sustainable goals for the park. Volunteers and committees are encouraged and will be recognized by the board for their contribution.
