Lot Modifications

August 10, 2023 by Cascade River Community Club

If you will be making changes to your Lot such as tree removal, building any type of structure or remodeling an existing structure, you will need a Lot Modification Permit.

Applications are available in the office (in person or request via email), on Town Square (Architectural App under documents), and at the reader board near the front gate.

Thank you to Mike Danielson for the suggestion and installing the box.

Burning Restrictions & Resources

October 17, 2022 by Cascade River Community Club

There have been questions about the burning restrictions and how to find out if fires are allowed at specific times in the park. Cascade River Park follows the most restrictive burn requirements at any given time.

The main organizations to consider are:

  • Skagit County Fire Marshall
  • Local air quality information: Northwest Clean Air Agency
  • Statewide air quality monitoring: Washington Department of Ecology
  • DNR Department of Natural Resources

Currently there are several wild fires that are creating unsafe conditions with the air quality. While the air quality effects everyone, it is especially hard on people with weakened immune systems, asthma, heart and lung problems, and other health issues.

Most of the time checking the Skagit County Fire Marshall site is sufficient but when the circumstances are extreme, such as now, it important that we all be extra diligent so that we are not contributing to the problem. If there is ever a doubt about the current burn restrictions in the park, you can email the office or a caretaker to find out.

Currently there is no outdoor burning allowed in the park. Propane fires are allowed.

Thank you for being responsible members of our community and for helping to keep everyone safe.

One Open Seat on the Board

October 17, 2022 by Cascade River Community Club

Attention all Park Members,

The current members of the CRCC Board of Directors are Aimee Sissom, Don Skakie, Steve Bighaus, and Ken Adams with one seat open to be filled.

A few members have indicated their willingness to step up to fill the last vacant position, but we encourage anyone willing to serve on the Board to email the Board for equal consideration to be appointed to fill this open seat.

The next newly installed Board Member will serve out the remainder of the term from the departing Board Member they replace until their respective election cycles require a vote of the General Membership.

Interested parties should email [email protected] with a summary of their qualifications and life experience relevant to why they would be an asset to the Park Board.

Please let us know of your interest in serving by October 31, 2022.

Thank you,

CRCC Board of Directors
